My first client, Barbie, came to me at the age of 8 and said “I need a dream house!” So I obliged. I started with an old shoe box, some colored construction paper and flash bulbs for lamps, which were placed on end tables made of silver muffin tins. A fox collar from Mom’s sweater became Barbie’s lush bedroom carpet. Then, Ken came over for a visit and never left. With Barbie and Ken living happily ever after in their new home, my love for interior design took off.
